About

My intention is to share science-based information, in an already heavily polluted world wide web, where most information comes from unverified sources. Fitness has been abused by thousands of opportunistic individuals who claim to be experts on a heavily scientific based field. All the information shared on this website will always be justified by peer reviewed scientific articles, referenced accordingly.

My name is Fernando Rosete. I grew up playing American Football and coaching since a noticeable young age. I was lucky my father introduced me to exercise since the time is possible to remember. Football was my main sport, from the age of 5 and up to college. In addition, I practiced Tae Kwon Do, Hockey, ran three full marathons and a triathlon. My career began as a personal trainer (just for fun), in 2001. That is when I earned my first certification. The more information was available, the more questions I would have. Due to my previous experience as an athlete and coach, I wanted to specialize training athletes. During that stage, I trained firefighters, and athletes from almost every sport, along with special populations and regular fitness clientele.

Eventually, I went back to school and earned a MS in Exercise Science, at WWU. I had the opportunity of spending some time as a volunteer coach at University of Idaho, and later landed a full-time job at UCF, as a Strength & Conditioning Coach. Later, circumstances moved me towards the tactical field. I had the opportunity of working with the SC Army National Guard and SWAT. Later, I was responsible for coaching an Army infantry battalion, at JBLM. Later, I worked with a SOP squadron at DMAF, and currently, I am responsible for training a special operations squadron.

I love my career!

Cheers, Coach Fernando
