FORENOTE
We will discuss a variety of topics, always based on scientific research related to exercise, training, mindfulness, coaching, human performance, resiliency, and anything else specific for your preparation, as a tactical athlete. A tactical athlete is comparable to a sports athlete. The main difference is that a sports athlete competes for points, to win games and championships. When a sports athlete plays a game and loses, there is usually another game, and a subsequent season. Conversely, a tactical athlete does not play games and losing is never an option. Competition on the tactical field involves fighting for your country, for your brothers and sisters, and worst case scenario, for your own life.
As a tactical athlete you should follow a specific, well periodized training program to withstand the stress of the job and perform at the best of your abilities, under any circumstances, and at any given time. Tactical readiness encompasses a combination of mental, physiological and mechanical adaptations. Each of these areas require preparation in support of mission accomplishment, while ensuring the well-being of you, the airman. It is my commitment to provide you with the tools and information necessary to ensure you are always ready.
